SFU StudentCare

The mental health benefits cover up to 80% of the cost of the following mental health practitioners, with a maximum of $500 per policy year:

• Licensed psychologist
• Registered clinical counsellor
• Social Work (Masters)

StudentCare also partners with PsyVitaliti to offer the Online StudentCare Psychology Network, a group of psychologists whose in-person and video-conferencing services are eligible for a discount for StudentCare members. This discount is in addition to the Health Plan coverage.

A Mental Health Nurse can support you with:

• Providing information, support, and skills on how to cope with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and student life
• Referrals to Health & Counselling Services' counselling groups and SFU's Sexual Violence Support and Prevention Office
• Resources for your mental health and well-being
